Why should I hire a home staging company when I have Realtor?

I think my house looks good enough as it is- why should I stage it for sale?

Are all stagers the same?

Can you just tell me what I need to do to get my home ready for sale?

Yes, that is considered a home staging consultation in which we come to your property and do a written detailed report with photos to inform you of everything that needs to be done on the interior and exterior of your home to get it ready for sale. You do the work! We can assist in arranging for contractors and if you just don’t have the time to do it then we are here to help you with as little or as much as you would like.

Should I put my house on the market first to see if it sells before I stage?

This is not recommended. You never get a second chance to make a good first impression. The first few weeks of your home being on the market are the most important. It becomes a stale listing after that. You do not want to take this chance or you will end up with price reductions and carrying costs. If your goal is to get your home sold then staging is a must BEFORE putting it on the market for the world to see.

Isn’t staging and decorating the same thing?

They are completely different. Decorating is for one person’s specific taste and style and home staging is to create a broad appeal for the buyer in mind.

My property is vacant-now what?

Vacant doesn’t make it. It makes the house look sterile and cold. 90% of buyers can’t figure out where the furniture will go or how they will utilize in an empty space. Rooms need to be defined for what they are. Vacant properties that remain unfurnished lack the atmosphere that buyers desire.
